Mar 4, A lion kept in mint condition meaning if you only use it as a display piece. It should be able to last for 100 years or more. Just like a calligraphy painting in a Museum. Once the lion is open to be use for performance, the lifespan of the head will depend greatly on the usage. The weight of the head is another important factor. Usually heavier heads tend to be stronger and last longer but it tires the performer more easily than a super light head. This year 2013 at Emplion, you can specifically custom order Superlight, Light, Balance, Heavy and SuperHeavy weight heads to meet your needs. 5 weight choices this year. As we are making our lions slowly to achieve better quality...We have realized we are almost fully booked for CNY custom order! Our last order for Chinese New Year custom lions will be November 12, 2009. All custom lions order during this period will be delivered to your home before Feb 2010.

July 20, 2009 : Our custom lion's facility has been very busy for the past few months. We appreciate customer's strong support! Custom order normally takes 1 to 2 months, but due to an increase of custom orders from Emplion these few months... We are seeing a longer custom q than usual ! Appreciate your understanding and patience, because of your strong support we will continue to make unique, good looking lions. Yes your custom lions cannot be rush. For any new custom inquiry or request, contact emplion.
Another update is that Emplion no longer import lions in container format. What is container format? Heard of 10 footer, 20 footer container shipment? A 10 footer container can squeeze in 60 to 80 lion heads. A 20 footer around 120 to 160 lions. Lion ordered through container shipment are usually mass produced stocks. Is mass produced quality good? Any discerning customer will know better. We do not wish to take such risk and the waiting time for customers for consolidate container shipment are usually 4 to 6 months. As such Emplion prefers to make our lions at a slower pace, puts in more effort/creativity and air freight each custom lion individually to customer. Which is why you see new lions and updates from us every month and even in weeks. Our stock lions are also made individually now, we stock them slowly in custom quality style. Abolishing poor mass produced lions. If you understand or like this concept, feel free to send us a feedback.
